Welcome back, Happy New Year. We hope you all enjoyed Bosca’s Neverland at the end of term. It really is a team effort and every year our cast grows as the children see what’s involved. The DVD is currently being edited and we hope to have it back by the end of the month.
You may see some new faces at Bosca; Winnie, Ashley and Carly have come on board part-time to join our team. As we said goodbye to Kim, John and Nikita at the end of the Summer. The children have been helping with recruitment and suggested some great questions to ask at the interview stage.

We are seeing an increasing number of tablets, phones and DS Consoles being brought to Bosca for gaming. As these devices come with a camera we ask that the children use them in the Hall and do not take photographs with them or make recordings. As a matter of child protection we will ask children who are not using their device to return it to their school bag and not carry it on their person.
We would also like to remind you that gaming at Bosca must be age appropriate and if your child has an app or game with an age restriction that is not suitable for under 7s we would ask that they do not play it. These are the same guidelines we follow with games for the DS and the Wii.
Below is a reminder from our User Guide
MOBILES / GAMES CONSOLES
- Children are not permitted to use mobile phones at BOSCA for anything but game playing.
- Children are made aware of the rules regarding phones etc and these will be confiscated until home time if they use them to take photos
- Phones, iPads will only be used in the hall
- Children who bring their own phones, games consoles, iPads etc are solely responsible for them
- You may contact each other on our phone at any time
Outdoor play is a still a very popular play space this winter, at Bosca we allow the children out to play even if it is a wet day. Please provide suitable wet weather wear or a change for your child if you don’t want them wearing their uniform. For those wishing to go out to play and in need of a waterproof Bosca can provide one. If you do not want your child to get wet/dirty on a particular day (we understand sometimes children can leave Bosca and move on to visit someone or go to a club and may not have the opportunity to change) if this is the case please speak to myself or Susan.
My phone is away on holiday …. as am I from today until Monday 30thJanuary please contact Susan on 07815007657 with any cancellations or queries. Please note emails will be answered on my return.
If you have requested a change in your days, the Bosca waiting list will be reviewed in February and we will be in touch if you have a space.
